Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12900 Northwest Freeway
October 4, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12900 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) about 11:40 a.m. today.
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer L. Ho reported:
According to witnesses, the driver of a tractor trailer truck was traveling eastbound on the Northwest Freeway near the above address when the victim intentionally jumped from a bridge to the freeway below and was struck by the truck.
No other persons or vehicles were involved in the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
