Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6500 Martin Luther King Boulevard

September 4, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 6500 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 12:30 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 1).

The male victim, 36, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Linscomb and Officer C. Dinh reported:

The victim was operating a Suzuki motorcycle northbound on MLK Boulevard at the above address when he struck a blue Ford F-150 pickup truck that was westbound on Rapido Road.  The victim and his female passenger were thrown from the motorcycle.  Both were transported to hospitals, the female in an unknown condition.

The Ford's driver, who failed to yield the right of way when leaving a stop sign, was not seriously injured.

There are no charges at this time, as the investigation continues.
