Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3173 Produce Row
September 20, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 3173 Produce Row about 10:50 a.m. today (September 20).
The identity of the male victim, 55, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer R. Bymaster reported:
The driver of a tractor trailer truck was backing the vehicle toward a loading dock at a produce warehouse at the above address when the victim walked behind the trailer and was struck by the vehicle. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the trailer, who was determined not to be impaired, was questioned and released at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
