September 28, 2018 - Houston police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 1824 Daugherty about 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 21.

The individual wanted for questioning is Jonathan Garcia-Lopez, 24.  Two recent photos of Garcia-Lopez are attached to this news release.    

The victim, Saul Aleman Rodriguez, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Heaverlo and E. Aguilera reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting at a residence at the above address and learned that paramedics had pronounced Mr. Rodriguez deceased.  He had been shot at least one time.

Further investigation developed Jonathan Garcia-Lopez as a person who might have information in this case.  Investigators would like to question him in the shooting incident.  No charges have been filed in the case.
