Investigation into Assault at 9351 North Freeway
January 16, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 9351 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 11:10 p.m. on Tuesday (January 15).
The victim, Daniel Ramon, 21, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives G. Black and J. Roberts reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Ramon had been shot in the leg. Investigators learned he had gone to the location to sell drugs and subsequently began arguing with the buyer. During the argument, the buyer shot Ramon and then fled the scene.
Narcotics were found in Ramon's vehicle and he was subsequently arrested on outstanding felony warrants. Additional charges are pending.
