Investigation into Shooting at 1916 Chapman

March 14, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 1916 Chapman about 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday (March 13).

The victim, Damarus White, 18, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Barker and L. Bolmanski reported: 

According to witnesses, the victim was at a convenience store at the above address speaking with an unknown suspect when the victim began running northbound on Chapman.  The suspect, along with a second unknown suspect who exited a blue, four-door vehicle, ran after him.  The first suspect then fired shots at the victim and ran back to the blue vehicle with the second suspect.  Both suspects then fled the scene in the blue vehicle.
