Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 9002 Sterlingshire Street
January 31, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 9002 Sterlingshire Street about 10:50 a.m. on Thursday (January 30).
The identity of the victim, 16, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported:
The victim went to the apartment complex at the above address and got into a confrontation with an unknown suspect(s). The victim was shot in an exchange of gunfire. Friends of the victim attempted to drive him to the hospital, but then pulled over and called 9-1-1. Paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The suspect was described only as a black male, possibly driving a gray Dodge Charger.
