Investigation into Shooting at 13501 Ella Boulevard

May 22, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man and a woman at 13501 Ella Boulevard about 4:55 p.m. on Thursday (May 21).

The male victim, Dalvien Charles, and female victim, Aaliyah Jones, both 18, were transported to area hospitals in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer C. Brannen reported:

The victims were in a vehicle stopped at a four-way intersection when a maroon or dark- colored Lincoln SUV drove up to the left side of their vehicle.  The front right passenger of the SUV then fired shots at the victims' vehicle and struck both victims sitting in the driver and front right passenger seats. 

Mr. Charles, sitting in the driver seat, was shot several times and Ms. Jones, sitting in the front passenger seat, sustained a graze wound on her left torso.  Paramedics transported both to the hospital. 

Three other persons in the back seat of the victims' vehicle were not injured in the incident.
