Suspect Arrested, Charged in Assault at 1405 Hyde Park Boulevard

September 8, 2020 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the assault of a man at 1405 Hyde Park Boulevard about 10 p.m. on Sunday (September 6).

The suspect, Isaiah Humberto Molina (H/m, 20), is charged with aggravated assault- serious bodily injury in the 180th State District Court.  A photo of Molina is not available at this time.

The victim, Brett Rabb, 54, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives A. Ferrell and C. Bowling reported:

A witness observed the suspect dragging Mr. Rabb away from a small park inside the roadway esplandade.  The suspect fled the scene and Rabb was taken to an area hospital with severe injuries to his face.

HPD patrol officers interviewed a witness and were able to subsequently identify and locate Molina nearby.  He was arrested and charged without incident.
