April 12, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 12500 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 7:30 a.m. on Saturday (April 10).

The identity of the male victim, 40, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer E. Rubio reported:

The victim was changing a trailer tire on the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes at the above address.  While changing the tire, he was struck by a dark-colored GMC with a possible license plate including 788.  The driver of the GMC fled the scene without rendering aid.
