Update: Suspect Charged, Wanted in Shooting at 11355 Richmond Avenue

April 23, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man at 11355 Richmond Avenue that occurred about 12:40 a.m. on April 17.  

The suspect Darrick Carriere (b/m, 20), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felon in possession of a weapon in the 182nd State District Court.  He is accused in the shooting of Christopher Katthage, 38, who was transported to an area hospital in critical, but stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives B. Godoy and A. Graf II reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at an apartment at the above address and were advised that Mr. Katthage had been shot multiple times.  Paramedics transported him to the hospital.

Further investigation identified Carriere as the shooter in this case.  He and a second unidentified suspect remain at large.
