Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 11201 Bellaire Boulevard

April 29, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 11201 Bellaire Boulevard about 6:05 p.m. on Wednesday (April 28).  

The male suspect, 16, was referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a murder charge.  His name and booking photo are not releasable.  

The identity of the victim, 48, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Lamont, L. Lange and E. Martinez reported:  

A family was having dinner at a restaurant at the above address when the juvenile suspect got up from the table, went to the restroom and then returned to the table.  The male produced a semi-automatic pistol and fired one time, striking a male relative.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. 

HPD patrol officers responded to the scene.  A security guard provided them the juvenile's description.  The suspect was found on foot a short distance away and taken into custody without further incident.
