August 2, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 7911 Matson Street that occurred about 7:10 p.m. last Friday (July 30).  

The victim, 33, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers L. Thornton and J. Kimbrough reported:  

The victim had returned home and was parked in his driveway when unknown suspects drove up in a red, four-door, Chevrolet sedan.  The passenger exited the vehicle armed with an assault rifle and fired multiple shots into the victim's vehicle.  The suspects then fled the scene.  

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.
