Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1000 Milam Street

August 2, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 1000 Milam Street about 4:45 p.m. on Saturday (July 31).

The identity and cause of death of the man, believed to be in his mid-30s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Vaughn and Z. Brumley reported:

Officers were flagged down at the above address for a male lying on the sidewalk.  Upon further investigation it was found the victim had bled from the face and body and there was blood on the sidewalk and the door he was lying against.  Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.    The victim is believed to be homeless.
