August 23, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 16 Charleston Park Drive about 11:55 a.m. last Friday (Aug. 20).

The victim is identified as James Jeffery, 64.  His cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. Martinez and R. Montalvo reported:

Officers responded to a deceased person call at the apartment complex at the above address and observed Mr. Jeffery deceased inside his apartment.  It was determined Jeffery sustained blunt force trauma to his head and his apartment may have been burglarized.

At this time, there are no known witnesses to the incident.
