Update: Person of Interest Wanted in April Fatal Shooting at 2901 Walnut Bend Lane

December 10, 2021 - Houston police homicide detectives are seeking the public's assistance in locating a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 2901 Walnut Bend Lane about 9:10 p.m. on April 10, 2021.

The person of interest, Anthony Wright (b/m, 27), is not in custody.  Wright is wanted on three unrelated felony warrants.  Photos of Wright in 2019 and 2020 are attached to this news release. 

The victim, Christopher Debase, 36, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Horn and M. Arrington reported:

Mr. Debase was seated in the driver's seat of his vehicle in a strip mall parking lot at the above address when he was approached by an unknown black male.  The male shot Debase multiple times and fled the scene.

Further investigation identified Anthony Wright as an individual with information in this shooting.  He is not charged in this case, however investigators want to question him.
