Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 1221 Redford Street

February 2, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 1221 Redford Street about 4:20 a.m. last Thursday (January 28).  

The suspect, Jarrett McClintock (b/m, 32), is charged with murder in the 183rd State District Court.  He is accused in the death of Ellis Williams, 39, who died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Brown and M. Condon reported:  

While conducting his morning rounds at an apartment complex at the above address, a security guard heard several nearby gunshots.  As he headed toward the gunfire, the security guard saw a white Nissan sedan leaving the complex.  The security guard drove onto Redford Street and saw Mr. Williams lying face down.  He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.  

Further investigation identified McClintock as the suspect in this case.  McClintock was arrested on Saturday (January 30) without incident and subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.
