Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 13900 South Main Street

January 11, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 13900 South Main Street about 1:35 p.m. on Saturday (January 9).  

The suspect, Kedric Deandre Jones (b/m, 32), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a weapon and tampering with evidence in the 176th State District Court.  He is accused in the shooting of Joe Moore, 38, who was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Sergeant D. Solis and Detective M. Althaus reported: 

Mr. Moore and suspect Jones met at a motel at the above address to discuss a recent dispute.  The argument escalated and pistols were drawn.  Jones then shot Moore several times.  HPD officers responded to the scene and took Jones into custody without incident. 

The Harris County District Attorney's Office was contacted and Jones was subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
