January 26, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 1221 Bayswater Drive about 10 a.m. today (January 26).  

The victim, 61, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Johnson and A. Carroll reported:  

The victim and a neighbor got into an argument that escalated to one of the men striking the other with a piece of steel rebar.  A physical fight ensued and the neighbor struck by the rebar retrieved a pistol and shot the victim, striking him in the shoulder.  

The victim was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
