Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6200 Beverly Hill Street

June 29, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6200 Beverly Hill Street about 9:35 p.m. on Sunday (June 27).  

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Uribe and Officer A. Chheav reported:  

The driver of a beige Chevrolet Impala was involved in a minor crash with a blue Dodge Ram pickup truck on the Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) and fled the scene.  The driver of the Dodge then began to follow the Chevrolet as its driver fled the scene.  As the Chevrolet fled eastbound on Beverly Hill, a male riding a bicycle was struck.  The driver of the Chevrolet did not stop to provide medical assistance and fled the scene.  The driver of the Dodge stopped and called 9-1-1. 

The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased on Monday (June 28).
