June 7, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the death of a juvenile male at 1303 Gears Road on Sunday (June 6).

The victim, age 4, was pronounced deceased at Houston Northwest Hospital.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. Rossow and L. Palma reported:

Harris County Sheriff's deputies responded to the death of a child at Houston Northwest Hospital.  Upon their arrival, it was determined the child had been pronounced deceased by hospital staff about 5:25 p.m.  The scene was determined to be an apartment at the above address, within the Houston city limits.  Deputies also learned from the attending physician that the boy had suffered trauma over several parts of his body.  

HPD Homicide Division detectives were subsequently contacted and are investigating.
