Investigation into Fatal Crash at 100 North Sam Houston Parkway East

June 15, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 100 North Sam Houston Parkway East about 4:50 p.m. on Monday (June 14).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Clark and Officer A. Mares reported:

The victim was operating a black Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound in the 11900 block of Greenspoint Drive and approaching the intersection of North Sam Houston East service road (Beltway 8).  The motorcyclist went through the intersection and struck a black Nissan Altima traveling westbound on the service road. 

Paramedics transported the victim to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest where he was pronounced deceased.  The male driver, 24, of the Nissan remained at the scene and was evaluated by a DWI Task Force officer.  The driver showed no signs of intoxication.

The investigation is continuing.  It has not been determined which motorist had the green light.
