Investigation into Shooting at 3939 Synott Road

May 24, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile female at 3939 Synott Road about 3:15 p.m. on Saturday (May 22).  

The victim, 12, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers H. Martinez and L. Thornton reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment at the above address and found the victim inside suffering from a gunshot wound to her right arm.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported her to the hospital.  

A preliminary investigation indicated the victim was inside the bedroom when she was shot through the window.  Officers searched the area and found a spent shell casing across the street.  According to witnesses, about the same time the girl was shot, a group of males was seen near the area where the casing was located.  

At this time, it is unknown if the group of males was involved in the shooting.
