Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 12777 Ashford Point Drive

November 01, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 12777 Ashford Point Drive about 12:10 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 31).

The identity of the victim, 27, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Hollohazy and Detective C. Sharp reported:

The victim was with his friend, who was in a relationship with the suspect.  The female suspect came to the victim's apartment and got into an argument with the victim's friend.  The victim intervened and ushered his friend inside the apartment and shut the door.  As the victim shut the door, the suspect fired a gunshot through the door, striking the victim.  Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The known suspect is described as a black female in her 20s and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
