November 01, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 4400 South Sam Houston Parkway East service road (Beltway 8) about 2 a.m. on Saturday (October 30).  

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer C. Brothers reported:  

The driver of a vehicle of unknown make and model was traveling eastbound on the South Sam Houston Parkway East service road.  It is believed the victim, a pedestrian, may have attempted to cross the street and was struck by the vehicle.  The driver did not stop and fled the scene.  Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.
