April 17, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 5085 Westheimer Road about 6:50 p.m. on Saturday (April 16).

The victim, 28, was transported to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives A. Barker and L. Castellanos reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a shopping mall at the above address and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The suspect, described only as an unknown black male, fled the scene before officers arrived.

There is no known motive in this case.
