August 15, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 1500 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10 ) about 9:15 p.m. on Sunday (August 14).

The identity of the female victim, 30, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer J. Louangpho reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, was walking north or southbound on the main lanes of the freeway at the above address when he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make or model traveling eastbound on the freeway. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to provide medical assistance and fled the scene.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
