February 23, 2022 - Houston police have released surveillance video of a vehicle sought in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 8433 Hearth Drive about noon on Saturday (Feb. 19).  

The vehicle, described as a black Nissan Rogue with front end damage, can be viewed on the HPD YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/vlQQi2fk75E 

The victim is identified as Codie Girouard, 39.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives S. Chettry and D. Glass reported:

Patrol officers responded to a shooting in a parking lot at the above address and found a man with a gunshot wound to the head.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.  

Further investigation and evidence from the scene determined Girouard planned to meet the suspect(s) at the above address.  When the suspect(s) arrived, Girouard approached the vehicle and was immediately shot.  The suspect(s) then fled the scene.
