July 11, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 5255 Fairgreen Lane about 8:20 p.m. on Saturday (July 9).

The identity of the victim, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Montalvo and Detective K. Hale reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call outside a residence at the above address and found a woman on the street.  She had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased.  It appeared she was shot while inside her vehicle, which was located nearby.  

Witnesses told officers they saw a silver sedan leaving the scene shortly after the shooting.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s) in the incident.
