Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 11285 Southwest Freeway

October 5, 2022 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of two other men at 11285 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) service road about 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday (October 4).

The identity of the deceased male, believed to be 25 to 35 years old, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The two other victims were transported in a private vehicle(s) to an area hospital. One of the males, 31, is in critical condition and the other, age unknown, is in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Providence and A. Ledford reported:

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting in a strip center parking lot at the above address and observed a male with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers also observed narcotics in plain view. HFD paramedics pronounced the man deceased.

A short time later, two males arrived at an area hospital. Both had sustained gunshot wounds and are believed to have been involved in the shooting at the above address.

The motive in the shooting appears to be robbery. There are no known suspect descriptions at this time.
