October 13, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 5300 Antoine Drive about 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 12).

The deceased victim is the fetus of a 19-year-old woman injured in the crash.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Prejean and North Patrol Division officers reported:

A silver Dodge Journey SUV was traveling southbound at the above address as a white Volvo S40 sedan was traveling northbound. When the driver of the Volvo turned left onto Golden Forest Drive, his vehicle was struck by the Dodge. A pregnant female passenger in the Volvo was seriously injured. Paramedics transported her to an area hospital where doctors performed an emergency C-section and delivered a fetus, which was pronounced deceased.

The male driver, 19, of the Volvo was cited for failure to yield the right of way turning left. The driver and passenger in the Dodge were not injured.

The investigation is continuing.
