October 17, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6400 Westheimer Road about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 15).

The identity of the deceased female, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer J. Louangpho reported:

According to witnesses, the female, a pedestrian, was walking across the roadway - not in a crosswalk - when she was struck by a white Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling westbound at the above address. Paramedics pronounced the female deceased at the scene.

The female driver, 24, was questioned, showed no signs of impairment and was released.

The investigation is continuing.
