April 26, 2023 - Charges have been filed against three suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 7676 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) service road about 12:55 p.m. on December 23, 2022.

The male suspects - Raudel Orozco, 20, Rolando Orozco, 22, and Jody Duron, 19 - are charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court. Booking photos of the suspects are attached to this news release.

The three are charged for their roles in the killing of Luis Casillas, 29.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective L. Lange reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in a business parking lot at the above address and located Mr. Casillas suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation led to the identities of the three suspects wanted in the shooting. Members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force arrested all three males on Tuesday (April 25) without incident. The Orozcos are brothers.
