December 11, 2023 - Houston police have learned a man critically injured in a hit-and-run crash at 1700 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) about 10 a.m. on Dec. 3 has died.

The identity of the victim, 37, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer J. Rangel reported:

The victim was operating a maroon Honda GL1200 motorcycle westbound at the above address when an unknown gray Toyota changed lanes, striking the motorcycle. The driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.

Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased on Sunday (Dec. 10).
