February 10, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9400 South Kirkwood Road about 7:05 p.m. on Thursday (February 9).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer C. Brothers reported:

The male, a pedestrian, attempted to cross the street - not in a crosswalk - at the above address when he was struck by a gray Honda Odyssey traveling in the northbound lanes.

Paramedics transported the male to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. The male driver, 63, of the Honda was questioned and released at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
