February 28, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 4650 Maggie Street about 1:50 a.m. today.

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meet and Detective S. Overstreet reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found the victim lying in the middle of the street. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

Witnesses stated a dark-colored, unknown vehicle drove down the roadway and stopped near the victim. The victim then walked toward the vehicle and was immediately shot. The vehicle then feld the scene.
