July 11, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6425 Bankside Drive about 11 p.m. on Monday (July 10).

The identity of the victim, 48, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives G. Zavala and A. Hernandez reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and were advised by witnesses that they heard banging on the door of an apartment and then heard several gunshots.  The officers observed a male unresponsive on the walkway of the courtyard.  He had suffered at least one gunshot wound.  Paramedics pronounced the man deceased.

At this time, there is no suspect description or motive in the shooting.
