July 20, 2023 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 5930 Brock Street about 1:05 a.m. on May 13.  

The suspect, Francisco Javier Gonzalez, 18, is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and possession of of a prohibited weapon in the 337th State District Court.  A booking photo of Gonzalez is attached to this news release.  

The victim, 21, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.  

HPD Major Assaults and Family Violence Division Detectives J. Windham and T. Forsythe reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to the hospital.  The unknown suspect(s) fled the scene prior to officers' arrival.  

Further investigation identified Gonzalez as the suspect in this case.  He was arrested on July 11 and subsequently charged.
