March 1, 2023 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 13125 Indianapolis Street about 4 p.m. on Thursday (May 27).

The male suspect, 16, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a murder charge.  

The victim is identified as Antonio Castillo, 17.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Nicotra and K. Clark reported:

Officers were dispatched to a reported shooting and crash call and found the victim inside a vehicle near the front yard of a residence.  He had suffered a gunshot wound.  Paramedics were called and pronounced the man, later identified as Mr. Castillo, deceased. 

Officers learned Castillo was with three other persons in a vehicle as it was attempting to leave the parking lot at the above address when the shooting occurred.  An unknown suspect(s) was seen fleeing the scene in a red sedan.

Further investigation identified the juvenile male as the suspect in this case and he was arrested without incident.  The Harris County District Attorney's Office was contacted and the juvenile was subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
