March 29, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 14500 South Main Street about 1 p.m. on Tuesday (March 28).

The male's identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Condon and J. Brown reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call in a parking lot at the above address and learned a male was shot and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives were advised the male, armed with a gun, attempted to rob employees in a food truck and was subsequently shot by the owner of the truck.  The truck's owner was questioned.  No charges have been filed in the incident.  

The investigation is continuing.
