October 2, 2023 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 181 Goodson Drive about 8:50 p.m. on Saturday (September 30).

The suspect, Celso Gutierrez-Cabrera, 42, is charged with murder in the 338th State District Court. A booking photo of Gutierrez-Cabrera is attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim, 37, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Patterson and N. Henderson reported:

Officers responded to a stabbing call in the parking lot of the apartment complex at the above address and learned the victim and Gutierrez-Cabrera were involved in a verbal altercation. During the argument, Gutierrez-Cabrera fatally stabbed the victim.

After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney's Office, Gutierrez-Cabrera was charged for his role in the incident and booked into the Harris County Jail.
