UPDATE: Surveillance Video of Suspects Sought in March Fatal Shooting at 6714 Weston Street

September 7, 2023 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in identifying three suspects sought in the fatal shooting of two men found at 6714 Weston Street about 12:05 a.m. on March 15.

The suspects are described only as two black males.  One suspect has a thin build, and was wearing a black hooded sweater and joggers.  The second suspect was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and shorts.  Both were seen exiting a black, four-door vehicle, driven by a third unidentified suspect.

Surveillance video of the suspects is attached to this news release.

The victims are identified as Joshua Fields, 32, and Matthew Lee, 43.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. May and C. Sharp reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a residence at the above address and found two unresponsive males in the living room, both with multiple gunshot wounds.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the males deceased.

Further investigation and evidence from the scene determined a black, four-door vehicle arrived at the above address and the suspects exited the vehicle.  Both suspects are invited into the residence by one of the victims.  Moments later, the two suspects, armed with guns, exit the residence and flee the location in the vehicle.  A short time later, the suspect in the shorts returns with a firearm, briefly enters the residence and then fled the scene on foot toward Yellowstone Boulevard.

At this time, investigators believe the incident may be narcotics related.

Anyone with information on the suspects or in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
