Suspect Arrested, Another Sought in February 2022 Shooting at 5110 Griggs Road

September 27, 2023 - Charges have been filed against two suspects, one arrested and another sought, in the shooting of a man at 5110 Griggs Road about 9:35 p.m. on February 7, 2022.  

The wanted suspect, Christopher Leeshwan Wilson, 19, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 179th State District Court.  A prior booking photo of Wilson is attached to this news release.  Another suspect, Carson Hoskins, 19, is in custody and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 230th State District Court.  A current booking photo of Hoskins is attached to this news release.  

The victim, 19, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition where he survived his injuries but remains paralyzed.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective M. Bellahna and K. Shaver reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a parking garage at the above address and found the victim with a gunshot wound.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.  

According to a witness, two male suspects produced guns and one of them shot the victim.  They both fled the scene in a vehicle described only as a black Chevrolet Malibu.  

Subsequent investigation identified Wilson as the shooter and he was subsequently charged for his role in the incident.  Wilson remains at-large and his whereabouts are unknown at this time. Hoskins was arrested on July 24 and remains in the Harris County Jail.
