Suspect Charged, Wanted in Stabbing at 412 North Sam Houston Parkway East

January 11, 2024 - Charges have been filed against as suspect wanted in the stabbing of a woman at 412 North Sam Houston Parkway East about 12:10 a.m. on Monday (Jan. 10).
The suspect, Alize Velosa, 22, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 486th State District Court. A 2023 booking photo of Velosa, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
The victim, 38, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
HPD Major Assaults and Family Violence Division Detective C. Grahmann reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to the above address and found the victim suffering from multiple lacerations. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported her to the hospital.
Investigators learned the victim and suspect are partners and were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a stabbing. The suspect fled the scene.

The Harris County District Attorney's Office was consulted and Velosa was subsequently charged for her role in the incident.
