UPDATE: Composite Sketch, Surveillance Video Released in December Shooting at 6318 Thrush Drive

January 17, 2024 - Houston police have released a composite sketch of a suspect and surveillance video of a suspect vehicle wanted in the shooting of a woman at 6318 Thrush Drive about 11:20 p.m. on Dec. 18, 2023.
The suspect is described only as a black male, approximately 25 to 30 years old, with a thin build and small dreads or braids. A composite sketch and surveillance video of the suspect's vehicle, possibly an early 2000s Honda Civic, are attached to this news release.
The victim, 23, was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive her injury.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective Z. Brumley reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call outside a residence at the above address and found the victim suffering from one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported her to the hospital.
Investigators learned the victim was shot by an unknown suspect. She ran to her neighbor, who then called 9-1-1.
At this time, there is no known motive.
