October 19, 2026 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash in the 3500 block of Pasadena Freeway about 4 a.m. on October 16.

The identity of the deceased female, 22, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Bui and Officer J. Trevino reported:

A white 18-wheeler struck a female pedestrian who was walking on the freeway. The female was transported by private vehicle to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The male driver of the 18-wheeler, 22, remained at the scene, showed no signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.

Officers learned the female was involved in a dispute with her partner. She exited a vehicle and was walking on the freeway when she was struck. The partner transported her to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
