A 27-year veteran of the Houston Independent School District (HISD), Melissa Noriega has a unique perspective as a public school educator, a community activist and as a member of the Texas House in 2005.
In June 2004, her husband, Representative Rick Noriega, a Colonel in the Texas Army National Guard, was called by his country to serve in Afghanistan, as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Transportation, Technology and Infrastructure Committee
Committee Chair Melissa Noriega, Vice Chair Oliver Pennington and committee members Council Members Davis, Adams, Martin, Hoang, Gonzalez, Rodriquez, Laster, Green, Costello and Christie will review matters pertaining to the Information Technology, General Services, and Public Works Departments. Additionally, the committee will review Rebuild Houston Water & Sewer, Rebuild Houston Streets & Drainage, and water resources and conservation. PLEASE NOTE: The TTI committee will hold their regular monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in City Hall.
