Investigation into Woman's Death at 7600 Beechnut
August 31, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found at 7600 Beechnut about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday (August 30).
The victim, Maria Alvarado, 32, of Houston, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital at 7600 Beechnut where she was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Officers J. Dodson and K. Elliott reported:
An off-duty HPD officer working an approved extra job at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital was alerted by security personnel of a female, who arrived in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head.
At this time, it is unknown where the shooting occurred.
