Investigation into Male Found Deceased at 2000 Quitman



December 30, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the death of a male found at 2000 Quitman about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday (December 29).  

The victim, in his 30s, had suffered apparent head trauma.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Officers E. Wohlgemuth and C. Sharp reported:  

A train conductor saw the body of an unknown male lying in a ditch next to the railroad tracks and contacted police.  HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  

At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspects.
