Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3700 Hillcroft



October 21, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 3700 Hillcroft about 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday (October 20).  

The male victim, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roque, Senior Police Officer J. Gaona and Officer J. Holmes reported:  

The male driver of a white Scion tC was traveling southbound on Hillcroft and had the green light at the intersection of Windswept.  As the Scion went through the intersection, the vehicle struck a male pedestrian (victim) crossing the street.  The victim died at the scene.  The driver of the Scion, 61, remained at the scene and was questioned and released.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
